About Zenith
Founded in 1865 by Georges Favre-Jacot in Le Locle, Zenith is one of the few manufacturers to produce its own movements entirely in-house. The El Primero (1969) is widely regarded as the finest automatic chronograph movement ever produced, beating at 36,000 vph for 1/10th second accuracy. When Rolex sourced a movement for the Daytona during the quartz crisis, they turned to Zenith. Today part of LVMH, Zenith continues to innovate with the Defy Extreme and Chronomaster collections. ChronoKraft's watchmakers are specifically trained on the legendary El Primero and its modern derivatives.
Our Expertise
The El Primero's 36,000 vph high-frequency escapement requires specialist regulation tools and lubricants rated for high-cycle operation. Our watchmakers are trained on the El Primero caliber family and apply the correct viscosity oils and greases mandated by Zenith for this extraordinary movement.
